What happens if we detect hearing loss?

Full Hearing Assessment

If hearing loss is detected, or if you have been previously diagnosed or currently use hearing aids, you’ll be invited for a Full Hearing Assessment. This 75-minute appointment, also free, is conducted by one of our expert Audiologists. We’ll delve deeper into your hearing loss and it’s helpful to bring along a partner, family member, or friend for support.

During the appointment, your Audiologist will:

Explain the process: discuss what will happen during your appointment.

Lifestyle discussion: talk about your lifestyle and any hearing changes you’ve noticed.

Ear examination: check the health of your ears.

Hearing test: in our sound booth, you'll hear a series of sounds through headphones and press a button whenever you hear a sound. This helps measure your hearing thresholds and how well you can hear different frequencies. Your results will be plotted on an audiogram.

Further testing: if needed, a vibrating pad placed behind your ear will test your bone conductivity.

Your Audiologist will review and discuss the results to determine the extent and type of hearing loss.

What happens if hearing aids are needed?

Based on your results, your Audiologist may recommend hearing aids. They will discuss options that suit your needs and budget and offer a no-obligation demonstration.

Adjusting to new hearing aids can take time. If you need further adjustments or have questions, our team is here to support you.
